The Rider

Name: Inkpot
Age: 26
Started Riding: 1998
Riding Level: Novice
Favourite Discipline: Dressage
Horse: Cori
Inspired by: Klaus Hempfling, Monty Roberts, Carl Hester, Mary King, Heather Moffat, Michael Pierce and my sister Michele
I have loved horses all my life. I started riding in 1998, but due to a series of unfortunate events, I have not ridden since August 2000. I have a beautiful piebald gelding called Cori, but to help me get over my nerves and get back in the saddle, I am hiring the pony I learnt to ride on for the summer. I hope to chronicle my riding successes and failures (hopefully not too many of those) on this blog in both pictorial and written form.

Hi Inky i hope the riding goes really really well. I hear that poor Humphries is getting a hard time from the other horses. Hopefully that will all change real soon.

This sounds a very interesting blog. I've always wanted to ride - until I met a horse and realised how ENORMOUS they were...

Since then I've contented myself with watching others gallop across the strand, so I'll be very interested to hear the secret of your success.

To Pinky - Thanks, things have settled down now in the herd and Humphries seems to be pretty happy.

Mary H. - Thanks for your comment. You should give riding another chance, not all horses are so enormous :)

VT - I will post another pic with hat and whip if you so wish
